What do you think science is? Is it some super complex, intellectual, philosophical, and whatever the fancy name we can call for? “NO”. In my personal opinion science is nothing, in other words science starts with nothing. That's how everything started, right? Hope you understand I’m talking about universe’s birth. That is “Big bang”.
When I say the word “big bang”, many of us may not know what is that (other than big bang theory sitcom series). So there must be a question raising in your mind. “What is Big bang?”. These kind of questioning is the fundamental for science. When you start question about something (for example “Big Bang”) which induces curiosity. The result of that curiosity makes us to understand certain things about big bang either by prediction, observation or experiment. That is called “SCIENCE”.
To learn or to know about science, it is not necessary to be a scientist or scholar. Just need to be a good observer. That gives basic idea about science in real world.
I’ll illustrate an example. if you ever played with cricket ball in your childhood, then you can be easily a rocket scientist. How? Let me explain, when you throw that ball to the other player who is little far away. It is not too difficult for you to through it exactly to his hands. But do you know how complicated math and science involved it it? These are several variables involved in this process, the weight of the ball, distance between you and the other person, throwing angle, force applied on the ball and the gravity. Without knowing any of these factors your brain calculates the energy required to throw the ball exactly to the other person. That means, you are calculating all those calculations unknowing in fraction of seconds.
In other hand, rocket scientists also trying to do the same thing; instead of ball, they have satellites, instead of you to throw, they have space shuttles which carries the luggage to the space. Only difference is, number of variables are more.
Lets come back to questioning: When we start asking questions, we will find out complex science behind a simple things. This is how stone age man learned how to invent new things, we might learned in our childhood, the story behind the discovery of fire, making of wheel and understanding about agriculture. All those breakthroughs were started with simple questions and basic understanding. They not just asked question, they worked to figure it out, they understand the basic theory and grasped new knowledge.
How we can verify this?, we can see in the history that:
9000 years ago, even before written communication found, new mexico people cultivated corn.
6000 years ago, Egyptians were master piece in astrology, medicine and architecture.
4000 years ago, prehistoric eastern civilization, were good at astro-physics, they predicted real physical structure of plants and stars, astronomical signs, planetary movements and constellations.
So start asking questions, strive to figure out the solution and finally understand the solution completely.
